Eileen Kornbluh Pottery
"From the irregular structure of tree bark and leaves, to the more symmetrical pattern woven in lace and burlap, or simply inscribing my own design, I look to create a multiple dimension in each piece by using these elements as impressions. Being such an ancient craft, it seems natural to utilize these textures to appear as fossils in the clay. Choosing glaze colors reflecting nature, then enhancing them with details such as leather and beads, I am constantly challenged to create a unique and functional piece that shows balance, proportion, and interest to all that view it."

RoozArt
"I start by making tubes of clay, called ‘canes’, with multiple clay colors and patterns running through their length (like a sushi roll). I arrange and layer the colors in the clay to make the designs. Canes are then sliced, combined and placed in various molds. They’re baked to create the final pieces."
